Word Verification

I'm happy to report that someone has finally answered the "word verification" question. JohnB left this for us to clear up the confusion:

"Word verification is so that "blog spammers" - people who attempt to have automatic messages post in the comments section of the blog. An actual person has to go in and post something and enter the letters... thus preventing a lot of worthless and meaningless posts."

I thought some of you might find that helpful although I am questioning how effective it is. I have read some of my posts.

See ya'all Sunday.

With the word verification thing I would suggest you still use despite what you might think of its uneffectiveness.

I have a question: Are you a messianic Jew? Secondly I thought you might want to check out my website. Heartz ablaze

God bless you brother,
Nathaan

Shaun,
By "worthless and meaningless", I'm not specifically referring to the content - I'll leave that to the discretion of your readers. I'm referring to "spam posts" often left by automatic spammers (there's a career, huh?) in the comments section, some of which I used to get on my blog. And for the record, I don't think your posts are "worthless and meaningless". They do a wonderful job of "bridging the gap" - I find them as humorous as some people half my age. Maybe that says more about me than about the posts. :)

Does ANYBODY know what tomorrow is??? Besides all the smart-mouth things that Shaun will come up with instantly upon reading this?

Friday? Will's party? Sanata Anna begins his siege of the Alamo in 1836? Dolly was cloned by some Scots in 1997? Benito forms the Fascist Party in Italy in 1919? Or, my favorite, the Marines raised the American flag on iwo Jima in 1945? There's a lot of things.

nice, stu. actually, pretty lame.

see if you had dug just a little bit further back in time, you would have found that the 200th anniversary of the Slave Trade Act in England is about this time... so the question remains, who's going to see it over the weekend?

According to Wikipedia it was March 25, 1807. It's the 23rd. Of February.

Honestly, I don't reeally care that it's the anniversary. And it's "about" New Year's.

I think you got your months confused and don't want to admit it.

i think you're CLUELESS and don't want to admit it.

ostrich.

Anonymous said...

"About" does not encompass an entire month.

Anonymous said...

it does if i want it to.

you don't even know what you're talking about. you have NO CLUE. would you like to be let in on the secret that you're almost a day late for?

another thing... what were you doing posting at 2:25 pm today? snow day or something? hope that cat of yours is alright.

Anonymous said...

No I don't want to know, and this conversation ends here.

Anonymous said...

haha and we're gonna until you go see it

Well that's kinda strange. The first time I went to that URL it was a picture of a cat, sleeping in a blue blanket. And I thought "That's not a movie"
